The transmission is automatic, most likely like you stated an FMX. I did not know these existed til today. The case on it does not look like aluminum to me, ill try to run a magnet on it later today to find out for sure. It has a large 36 on the top of the bell housing, ill take a pic later today. The intake is a Edelbrock Torker 351. It has a Edelbrock 1405 on top of that.

I was under the impression that the 400 perches should work for the small blocks from the article here at fordification:
The small-block stands were also used in the '73-'79 trucks with 351M/400 engines and will work just fine for swapping a small-block into an earlier truck.
Is this out for debate? Or is it definitely should not use?

UPDATE: Transmission is aluminum, magnet did not stick. I guess a C4 then.
