Might look pretty,, BUT Blow up the 2nd picture and what do you see ? the front end DOES Not sit right look and see how the fender/hood is arched up hill against the cab,, does not look like that on the other side :hmm: but after looking closely the pass side is off as well

It was wondered aloud on ADV if the cab mounts are shot.

I’m sorta wondering if it is barrel distortion from the camera...

Definitely bears investigating.

Nope your eyes are fine - at least in respect to this issue. Looking at it again (and these are not fantastic pictures and don’t get as big as you would like) it really looks like the radiator support is high. The bed to cab gap looks pretty good, but the fenders gap is worse than usual.

Really could be anything from a minor to a major issue... if someone were serious a few pictures of the cab mounts and a question to the seller about whats up are in order.

Still this thing is so cool it warrants fixing whatever it is... 8)

Whoever decided to splash paint all over it needs their head examined. Too many bright red "fire" trucks been floating around lately. My guess is they really forced it back together, quickly.

here is the way I see it, it your trying to sell one of these fire trucks that the fire chief drove or even the bigger trucks LEAVE IT ALONE,, will bring just as much money since if it was redone then paint is hiding something,, I have sold several of these trucks just the way they came from the fire dept. and gotten that much money for them , last one came out of Seattle, 65 step side and left it alone,, BUT that me, I am fussy when it comes to people hiding something as in this case,, On this one just curious if he has any pics before all this shiny paint was put on

WAS OWNED BY THE CHEIF OF MICHIGAN FIRE & RESCUE #9 SINCE NEW
Tells me the answer to ya'lls concern probably involves salt and the cab mounts, (even though the owner states "no rust")? :D

OK Now I know my eyes are working,, THIS TRUCK is not what he says Pass side cab is rust with CANCER,, look at pass door open and lower bottom you will see the cab is rotted out at the lower kick panel AND Front valance has holes in it as well and if they where going to do a decent paint job ALL of that should have been address ,

Years ago I bought a 64 fire truck, never been painted, 9150 miles still sits in the yard not much taken off since it looked good in pics But was never washed underneath just the outside and this truck rotted from the bottom up, OH yes another Michigan truck, was only able to sell the roof, w/s, doors, heater and engine/trans,, COULD Not sell cab/bed/tailgate/fenders <inner or outers >

here is some more I have found , missing the rear side marker light on drivers,, also if it was such low miles, That frame and underneath should look a lot better a lot of black paint painted over the scaling rust when looking at side views, fan shroud is broke due to fan blade is bent and air cleaner showing more miles, front bumper was just thrown on the truck since missing the bottom 2 bolts,, If it sat as a backup this should look a lot better NOT WORTH at 10,000

LIKE WOW, talk about maybe getting the shaft, we have had here cleaner trucks underneath with more miles pushing over the 100000 mark and that is why sometimes we have a hard time over the internet trying to sell something or when somebody wants pics I flat out say no :nono: , I tell them go to our website and will see we are not here to play games with photo collectors and most are photo collectors,, even seen our photo's used on E-Bay which is BULL
