How to remove Interior Cab Light?

Post by MAK »

Hate to admit it but I can’t seem to figure out how the cab light housing comes out...
I’m stripping the interior in preparation to clean the surface of rust and then prime.
After I remove the bulb I can’t find any way to get the bulb housing apart or off the wire so I can remove the whole assembly.
Anyone had theirs out who can provide some help?
Thanks

The dome light housing does not separate from the dome light bulb socket. There is a bullet connector a few inches along the wiring where you can separate it from the wiring harness. It can be snaked from the cavity between the roof and the interior cab wall. http://fordification.com/tech/images/sc ... elight.jpg

Ah! That makes sense. I had already figured that out for the door switch. Missed the connector for the light.
Thanks much! And for the quick reply.

Good to see it is very easy, thanks! We'll going to work on the interior of the truck right after we finished installing the brake kit and continental tires on the current Wrangler project.
