Anyone know of any good chrome plating services?

Post by Ohiotinkerer »

Anyone know of anyone out there that does show chrome plating? I have some pieces i want done and since Brown's Plating in KY is closed i don't know who I could trust to have it done. Most common name I've heard is Advanced Custom Chrome in Erie, PA......supposedly they are very good.....anyone ever deal with them or any other suggestions?

I live in the Erie area, worked at Klein Plating Works for 40+ years. We did not do chrome but when we got a request we used to send them over to Advanced Custom Chrome. I can't personally endorse them as I never needed their services but I didn't hear any bad press either. They have a 5 star rating but only 2 reviews, so that isn't much to go on.

Thanks guys - seems that most of them I look at don't seem to have many reviews for some reason........but looking at their photo sections and some of the high end stuff they are doing makes me think either one would be good.......and I also haven't found a plater that wasn't expensive if they weren't good.......I can have it done cheaper but I've found by looking at some of the stuff my dad has had done you get what you pay for.....
