J-B weld. They make it in a putty form. Just knead the them together and and it sets up. Works on radiators and gas tanks. Been there.

snickers

Well seriously you would be amazed (as many people who know me are) at what I can pull out of my truck. for example a couple weeks ago one of the interns was hanging a door on my assistant's office and needed a plane. I just happened to have a couple Stanley 605 Bedrock planes in the back seat. And more recently I met other's needs with an electric fuel pump, Tweezers, DVOM (never without that), sunscreen, funnel, jumper cables, long handled truck wash brush, gas can. ect ect
Of course who else drives a crewcab with barely room for one person and a bed full of junk.
Great ideas have always encounter violent opposition from mediocre minds.

Small ratchet straps with the rubber coating on the hooks. And a trailer for carrying all this stuff.

:D all of the above + 1 good woman(if available) + 1 or 2 dogs

cb radio - they work where cell phones may not(depending on terrain)
small tent(2 person)
pair of coveralls
drinking water(don't recall seeing it mentioned)

it seems that carrying these things will insure you never need them- the first time you take something out because " i've never used it" and bingo there ya go

You need a trailer to haul all the stuff listed. Maybe just a business card of a reputable towing company under the visor, and a cell phone. Then just fix it once they tow it home for you.
No matter what you have, you will need something that isn’t there.

A potatoe! I was 4 wheeling in the 76 4x4 when the guy in front showered me with rocks out of a mud hole. One went right through the radiator. Got out of the woods and went straight to the camp store to figure out how to fix it enough to get us home. A friend suggested a potatoe to smash in the hole to stop it up. Went in a bought a big ol backing potatoe, came out smashed it in the hole filled it with water and drove it the hour home. Lost no water to speak of but the potatoes sure was ugly. lol
I guess you'd have to set up a schedule to change it out about once a month or the eyes will start grwoing.

Hose repair tape and extra clamps (saw the hose splice, but they need to match size)
Flares or hazard reflector
Latex gloves (I keep a ziplock bag full of them)
Hand Cleaner (small size)
Matches should be wind/waterproof
wheel chock
I prefer the tire plug kit and a couple extra valve seals to the foam.
Can of that starter fluid you spray in your carb
Radiator sealant
That's MR. Jackass to you fellah!

sometimes you have to do one, to get to the other.

1 good woman + 1 small tent? maybe I planned on breaking down?? :-)

When I drove my 67 from Florida to Northern California, all I had along was some oil and water along with a cell phone, cash and a couple of credit cards. Today, I would add the CB radio and fire extinguisher, but unless you are going to tow a vehicle or offroading, I agree to let the tow service do the work.

Hmm....movin' right along here, this is great. I like to caryy an extra headlight, simply because about three months ago I had both my lowbeams burn out withing five minutes of eachother while going to work at 10pm.
Oh, and I like my one gallon gas can and extra fuel line, I had to fill the can once and put it on the hood with a siphon going to the carb 'cause the fuel pump went out. Not the greatest pressure but it got me home.
And a first aid kit.
