I am taking on something I have never done before after discovering that some teeth on the distributor gear on the cam, are chewed up.
I have clean as much shavings and metal as I can with a magnet stick. I have drained oil, flushed the engine. Drained and removed radiator.
I want to change the oil pan seal but I have read that you have to jack up the motor to remove the oil pan. Can you just leave it where it is in order to only change the gasket?
Any tips for the cam removal and re-installation? Harmonic balancer is off and I am just waiting for all the parts to get here.
