1972 ford f100 4x4 rear cab mount support

Post by Jsupreme »

So working on a frame up on this truck. The previous owner mounted a Dana 24 to this cross bracket and drilled some extra holes in it and stuck bolts through. You can see that on the passenger side it broke on the lower section. I don't think this mount was supposed to take that much weight or torque. Should I replace it? Or just weld it up?? This cross member is just for the driveline supper on f100, correct?

If I had the resources and skills (which I do by the way)) I would cut the bolts/rivets, pull it out, clean it up and see if I could repair it and bolt it back in place. 8)
