302 clutch and flywheel confusion

Post by M-100 »

I'm trying to put together a 302 three speed combo. I have a 69 3 speed trans out of a truck .When I try to get a flywheel and clutch some parts places want to sell a 157 tooth flywheel others want sell 164 tooth flywheel. I don't have an old one to compare with. Does anybody know what part numbers to look for or any other advice

Older 302's used a 157 tooth flywheel. Newer 351w and 302's used 164 tooth. For 1969 it would be a 157 tooth.

Thanks for the info. Do you know where I can find a flywheel? All I can find is for a 10.5 clutch and the truck clutch is 11.0 according to parts places. It seems this should be easy but I feel like I'm chasing my tail.
