hood needed in fla, or LV or in between

Post by Zorm »

Alright, after spending its life in AZ and getting sun baked, Dad willed the truck to me, been in the family for 46 years. Now, restoring it in Fla, get it painted, painter said the good was really pitted. About a year later, finally getting around to cut n buff the cab and hood, noticed really small bumps all over the hood, what the painter tried did not work so now need a hood. Truck is a 71.

I will be heading out to LV the 2nd weekend of February. If no one close has a hood, by close I mean from east Texas, to Ky, Ga, to Fl, and they are willing to hold a hood till then, I'll take it if reasonable price. Route of travel is planning to be from Pensacola, north west up through Mississippi, to hit 40, then straight across to L.V. Return same way unless a good deal on hood, willing to deviate some on return trip.

thanks guys

You could prob find him easier on the facebood fordification or bumpside or the Fixem pages.
Been a few years but remember this guy having quite a collection down this way.
I will keep my eyes open as I'm still between trucks and let you know if I see one.

Are you on those three facebook bump pages?
There is a lot...of traffic there!
