68-72 Door Armrest

Post by JoshT »

I have searched this subject, but not found clear answers on it. I understand from reading past posts that some aftermarket reproduction door arm rests are better than others, and some just don't work at all do to handle interference.

What have you used and had good results with?

I've seen posts here saying that DC ones are no good, which is odd to hear about DC products.
I've heard some say LMC are no good and others saying that they are good.
I've seen posts saying to buy from NPD. Ok, but NPD sells at least 3 different manufacturers, DC, Dashtop, and third is unlisted. So which ones?

If I understand correctly these arm rests were also used in the Bronco, some vans, and some cars. I haven't seen any Bronco owners complaining about fit of the aftermarket units, so what's different?

I would prefer to go aftermarket due to price, availability, and/or condition of original used or NOS.

I looked at your gallery, is that the black arm rests on your red door panels? Interesting, I wander if the difference is because you've just got the metal panels in stead of door cards.

You've got a PM inbound about something else.
