Brazilian Bumpside parts

As many (most) of you know Ford built this body style in Brazil until the early 90s. While it would be nice, I don't hold out much hope of being able to get large parts like body panels imported in any quantity to be worth while. That said, later years of those trucks got some upgrades that I think a few people would be interested in as well as a lot of smaller parts still being produced and available. Well I got on a kits a while back and really researched some of the parts I'd personally be interested in. Well there are actually quite a few parts I'd be interested in but these were high enough on the list to actually warrant further investigation.

So I know some people have modified power window motors for electric, others are running the various conversion kits. I looked into modding and don't like what I'd end up with. The only available conversion kit I'd consider is Nu-Relics which is like 400 just to get started with it. Well later models of Brazilian Bumpsides came with factory power windows. Power window regulators in brazil cost like 100-200 real without a motor and maybe 200-300 with a motor. 100 Real is like $18. So $60-100 for a pair of power window regulators.

Another that interests me available new there is compete vent window assemblies. Given the wear and rust on my own when I disassembled them to replace seals, the fact that new are available is intriguing. Main part I'm concerned about is the pivot bolt which I could probably make. That said I could probably buy the complete assembly from there for what it would cost to rebuild one here.

Of course finding a place to purchase and have shipped to the US proved to be a barrier I couldn't find a way around. After more digging I found some of the manufacturers for these products.

They also have hood hinges and latches, I know that these are available in the US, but they offer a cable operated version that might interest some for security purposes. P/N for the regulators is:

I sent emails to these companies inquiring about purchasing and importing product. Also tried to send to some resellers as well as an importer here in the US. I don't know if it was a language barrier, regional barrier, or the small quantities I was inquiring about, but I never received a reply. At this point I am probably going to move on to nu-relics for power windows on my project and address the vent window issue when and if it becomes one in the future.

I just wanted to post what I found incase someone with more access and/or purchasing power were interested in following up on any of these things in the future.

I especially love the F-1000 Brazilian bump front grill, (looks more like an early 80's Ford Ranger front grill for those who don't know).
I have a friend who lives down there, (married a hot Brazilian model after the desert wars) I'd love to reach out to about the possibility of shipping these parts, (if I had not deleted "fakebook" I'd do so).

Well that was 6 months ago. They seem to be working now, but I'm not going to be keeping the links updated. I tried and got no where, I've moved on. I just wanted to provide the information in case someone with more time and better resources wanted to continue pursuing it.

I have since purchased the nu-relics power window kit, just have to find the time to install and wire it. I wouldn't mind getting new vent window assemblies, but mine are still serviceable.
