STUCK IN PARK

Post by towens »

I have now unseized the engine, thanks for your replies and advice on that particular subject. :) Now I need to bench test the starter and go from there.

What I need help with now is that my truck is stuck in park. The driveline was removed so that it could be towed. I was told what it was but can no longer recall what it was. If anyone knows could you please tell me what it is called as well as how much it costs.

THANKS,

TOWENS

Try disconnecting the shifter linkage rod from the transmission, and see if you can then move the shift arm. If so, slide back up under the truck and try moving the transmission shifter bracket (coming out of the side of the tranny, where the shifter linkage connects). If not, you'll have to drop the pan and the valve body to see where the bind is.
