Just a shot in the dark, but maybe ask questions and wait for a response, instead of rapid firing 50 questions. Most here do have life outside the forum and don't sit around and wait for someone to post something they can answer. (FTE)

Agree, ask a quality question, get a quality answer.

A few things.

I have no idea what the truck at CJ pony parts looks like, so yours being a duplicate doesn't really help me.

FE block casting numbers are nearly worthless - they might tell you what it isn't but probably not what it is.

I'm confused about the FT distributor, so you have an FT block built into a 410? I think Dennis at DSC has a bushing to fit a regular FE distributor if thats the case.

The only things you need to be too concerned about are the intake to head match and the header to exhaust port match. The head casting numbers and intake details might help you on one of the FE websites there.

Yes the fel pro gaskets listed for a 390 will work fine, no they don't need to be so tight as 4.1. Cometic also makes shim gaskets.

What pistons are in the 410? do they have numbers on top?

A few quality photos might help.

The dist issue is my intake manifold is a 67 police interceptor it takes a ft dist as for the bushing they don't exist anymore as for the block it came from a 67 Merc colony park it is a 410 not a bored out 390 the code under the oil adapter says it is a 67 410 built in 67 with a iu crank and no it's not a truck block that is what I thought when I got the truck.the pistons are marked .40 the intake also says 67 as for pictures I have the pictures but it's too hard for me to send pictures .if you look at the 72 explorer special ad at CJ pony that is my truck.if you can get my pictures from fte you can look for your .se!f my user name at fte is lrd56 I looked at 390 Head gasket they are 4.080 not 4.090 it looks like they are too small .my head's are gt 390 head's with small ports . which causes another problem my 72 390 exhaust manifold s the ports are too big .and I don't know how to solve that issue.

I am not trying to be mean here, but it seems like the first thing that needs to happen is for you to forget what you think you know about this and start over.

To reiterate where head gaskets are concerned there is no difference in a 410 and 390 or 360.

A police interceptor (assuming we stipulate there is everything such a thing made out of cast iron) intake taking an FT distributor makes no sense.

Maybe not everything, but a lot.

What’s the casting number on the intake and heads and do the heads have 8 bolts in 2 rows straight up and down?

Is there a part number on the pistons in addition to .040? Are they dish, flat top, dome? At deck or below? What are you going for mild or wild.

No part number on the pistons but they have valve cutout s front to back .I think this is a 390. With surplus 410 pistons I have heard of these ford engine s they used 410. Pistons from earlier engine s
