Power steering in a 70 highboy?

Post by 69fordkh »

Does any one know of what I would need to convert my highboy to power steering? Also is there a kit to convert to front discs?

If you look at my thread you will see how to do both. The best path is to find the Front Axle and steering box out of a 77 1/2 to 79 F250 or 350 4x4. The steering wasn't to bad but finding a reasonably priced axle is getting difficult. I had talked to a guy that was making a kit for the closed knuckle but he stopped doing them and it was very expensive. Upgrading the axle is a better option as the newer axles are easier to get parts for. Good luck.
