68/69 Aux fuel tank filler hose

Post by Vwbuggin69 »

So I removed my aux tank to replace the rubber lines because the vent hose was cracked. Come to find out no one makes the fuel filler hose or I cannot find it. What have y’all done to get the proper length hose? I’m trying to bring back the aux tank so I can use it and not have to fill up every 15 minutes (joke). Thanks

I'm pretty sure that Keith our founding member and administrator is currently working on his aux tank too as I write this.
Shoot over to the Fordification fakebook group and look for his post there.
I never had the aux tank but am guessing the regular gas filler hose wont' work?

You might check with LMC Truck because that is where I picked up my set of hoses and "U" shaped sheetmetal shield where it crosses over the frame.

When I restored my truck, a neighbor of mine worked at Dayco. I measured the size of the hose and bought one from them rated for fuel. It’s been in my truck for 32 years.
