Which # to identify year of tranny?

Post by 1968flareside »

If I do have to rebuild I'll need to identify for certain what year the C4 is. I believe at one time someone told me it is a 1979 year model. Help please... :?

There should be a tag attached to the servo cover with some numbers and letters stamped on it. Post those and I will look it up for you. Rick

Are the numbers on those stamped like on heads. C9 or D0? Or do they have a totally different wa of identifying them?
