Parts limited or no availablilty

Post by Tallboy »

Anybody hear what is going on with the big three parts guys for our trucks? Maybe its a sole manufacturer...... I tried to order a reproduction grill, hood emblems and dash bezel from Dennis C, LMC and NPD. All three had none in stock and didn't know when they'd be getting more in. A guy at NPD said the manufacturer was having problems with the dies.....

Just an FYI if your gonna order one of these..... I am going to call back in two weeks to see the status....

Tallboy, A lot of that stuff is made by Dennis Carpenter and sold by different vendors, so if DC isn't making them nobody gets them. I've been waiting two years for them to make the 3-hole taillight trim they've listed in the catalog the last two years.

I see this all the time Working at Year One. We have to wait on sheetmetal and some small parts like trim and bezels from small companies and it might take 6 months to get one and by that time we may have 50 back orders on it. Atleast someone is trying to make parts.

2 years? I just sold a set of NOS ones on here last year for $50.
