Article 1279 - Excessive Blower Motor noise on Low Blower Speed

TSB #85 - February 9, 1968
(1968 Thunderbird Equipped with Automatic Temperature Control)

Customer complaints of excessive blower noise when the automatic temperature control system is on "Low" position can be corrected by replacing the existing blower resistor assembly (C8SZ19A706-A) with a Lincoln Blower Resistor Assembly (C6VY18591-B) (Refer to Fig. 3 for location).

The Thunderbird blower resistor back-plate is tan and the Lincoln resistor backplate is red for identification.
