Update on this thread. After putting a newer bench in my 69 F250, I found the latch for the back of the seat rode against my gas tank. Got out the sawsall and bimetal blade and reshaped the back of the latch on both ends of the seat...I think I picked another 1/2 inch clearance between steering wheel and driver with seat all the way back. I need all the room in the cab I can get. The pix shows the seat lock after it was cut two ways with a sawzall. My original 69 bench didn't have the lock feature...feds must of have gotten on Ford down through the years...probably a safety thing.

I am going to install seats from a 1995 f150 the bucket seats with the flip down centre seat in my 67. I have the power seat bases from a 1994 ford explorer also but I haven't started that yet but will post when it gets done.

Thanks...didn't know you'd quote me...a hot bum in a vehicle with no AC is a PITA on hot days.
