Glovebox Door/Dash Question
I have 67 F100 with frozen/stuck glovebox door latch button. I push it in and it wont open. Is the dash removeable to fix this? I have to repaint inside cab anyways so removing the dash if possible is no problem.

Re: Glovebox Door/Dash Question
I had that problem and was able to reach in from the radio hole with a really thin flat-bladed screw driver to push down the latch mechanism and open the box.

Re: Glovebox Door/Dash Question
My 67 did that too! Is just push the button with one hand and whack the door with the other then I took that latch off and soaked it in WD-40 and it's like new now.

No... Well, not without cutting the welds that hold it in place.

Re: Glovebox Door/Dash Question
Those are just for the dash pad. You can remove the dash pad, but under that is a steel dash which is welded in place to the firewall and cab wall.

Re: Glovebox Door/Dash Question
I wasnt referring to those. I saw some headed bolts on the corners of the dash on the inside.Calfdemon wrote:Those are just for the dash pad. You can remove the dash pad, but under that is a steel dash which is welded in place to the firewall and cab wall.

Re: Glovebox Door/Dash Question
Calfdemon and I stripped his 72 down to a skeleton and I can assure you the dash won't unbolt. You're gonna have to pry the glovebox open some how and get a new latch or fix yours.

Re: Glovebox Door/Dash Question
Would be nice to take out the dash for painting the inside of cab. I dont know how long the cab was exposed to the outside weather with the doors off of it. I know I need new floor pans and other sheet metal.

Re: Glovebox Door/Dash Question
Still having issues with my glovebox button/latch. I cleaned my up with liquid wrench and air hose. The thing work backwards. If push the plunger down the button will push in. If I dont push on the plunger the button wont move at all.
