Re: Economy Heater 67
Happens all the time in warm climates... in Hawaii there were a lot of vehicles with 'heater deletes'.
Sucked for defrosting the windshield, so an economy heater seems to be just the ticket.

Wow! That would be at least $300 today, maybe $400. Might have just thrown my hand-held plastic transistor up on the dash where the speaker would go!kf7mjf wrote:Radio was fifty some odd bucks in 67.

Re: Economy Heater 67
Do you guys know which hose the valve goes in? I bought a valve like the one in the pic that is in-line, not the one that goes in the manifold. I thought it would go in the hose coming out of the water pump but then I thought if they offered a valve that goes in the manifold that it must go in the hose coming out of the manifold. Anybody?

Re: Economy Heater 67
My '67 is a custom cab with an "economy" heater. It has one knob under the instrument cluster which you twist to turn the fan on and then from low to high. For heat you pull the knob out. I believe the cable activates a flap door in the heater box as I can hear a bumping noise from the box when I pull the cable out.
