1967 inner door handle control

Post by dalemcginnis »

Hi, been visiting the site for awhile but just joined the forums. I have a 1969 F250 and just replaced the passenger door from a 1967 model. Unfortunately I did not realize there were significant changes on how the door opens from the inside until I received the door. The door came with all the interior hardware but my problem is: when they removed the door release handle they broke the screw off in the release mechanism. I tried to remove it with a screw extractor but it would not budge, it just broke my extractor. So, I am looking for a replacement but not having any luck. I did find a site that sells one for a 1967 Bronco and was wondering if they might be interchangeable? Other parts on the site that are interchangeable has a F1 after the part number but this one does not.

Where? I can't find them. I found the window regulators, but I need the door release.
Like this link but for a 1967 F250:

I'm sorry Dale,I misunderstood, I thought you needed the window regulator.
Maybe put a request in the wanted section on this forum.
Sorry,Calvin

I think I found one in my parts pile... It looks the one I have could fit either side.

Are they 'universal' becuase if they are I have one to sell.

I don't know if they're universal or not. Seems the 67 door was a one year version. I can find door releases up to 1966 and then 1968 and on but nothing for 1967
