1971 Ford F100: how to keep the noise down in cab

Hi!
It's been years, but I'm bringing Tbone back on the road. He's a 1971 Ford F100 Custom. My newer car has failed me and I think it's best to bring my love back instead of buying a new heap and killing my bank account. I was just wondering are there ways to silence the noise inside the cab? It's all stock and original still. Thank you!

Thank you! Zillamat looks promising and is very affordable! That makes me very happy! Will be doing this before I start riding around town!

I'll be going with the Zillamat too. That, some good carpet backing and quality carpet should make a BIG difference. Good luck and keep us posted!

That's something to think about! I will probably be getting into this in a couple weeks. My dad in law is rebuilding the brake system this week and then the fun starts! Thanks!

Did you glue those pads down before putting the carpet down? I did follow the links, but I don't remember if you glued them or not. Great idea, by the way; I think I'll go that route.

Alo, I noticed your high hump. Baby C6? What's that mean? Do you have enough clearance to use a low hump? Just wondering ...

Joseph, I did glue the matting down-but have forgotten what glue I used. And my reference to "baby C-6" is joking due to the fact that my c-6 is bolted to a SBF engine, (302) family versus a BBF engine. I never even tried to use the low hump on my C-6 when I put it in as I'd already bought a high hump cover from a member here.
