67 gas tank carpet and chrome

Post by Quadman80 »

Hey guys I'm looking for the chrome that holds the carpet to the gas tank against the back of the cab. Any ideas where I might have any luck because so far I'm having a heck of a time. All help is appriciated :fr:

I don't want to discourage you, but I have looked for two years and found none anywhere except one set on E-Bay about a year ago and they sold for over $200.00 dollars. Best I can tell (Someone correct me please if wrong) but this trim piece only came on trucks with Bucket Seats, They were rare when bumpsides were made 67-72 and darn near impossible to fine now, if we took a survey, most people have never even seen a bumpside with factory buckets. Good luck and if you find an extra set please let me know.

To the best of my knowledge they only came in the 67 ranger models with factory bucket seats, which is what I have

My '69 has buckets with the tank carpet and trim. Look for any bump with buckets and you might find a good set.

I need to get off my lazy ass and go look at my 67 Ranger, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't have that trim (bench seats) which would support the notion it's a bucket seat thing.
