repair crack in dash
Is there a way to repair the padded dash on my 70 F350? It has a big crack from front to back right thru the perforated radio speaker area.
1970 F-350 flatbed dump, purchased 9/20/12
1954 F-100 bought from Grandpa in 1977 for $200

I was just going to buy a piece of Naugahyde or leather type material at Joann's and affix it right over the old one after putting some foam down...those replacement pads are too fooking expensive!

That's exactly what my brother did with his '67 Camaro (way back when it was still an old used car, and not yet a classic (and yes, I have told him that if he ever sells that car to anyone else but me, I will break both of his kneecaps)). Still holding strong after 30-ish years! I'll probably get the plastic dash cover that goes over the original -- I agree, new pads are too expen$ive.Effie_70 wrote:I was just going to buy a piece of Naugahyde or leather type material at Joann's and affix it right over the old one after putting some foam down

did the same with my '83 toy hilux, $25 junkyard supra seats, discount rack naugahyde and looked like a new interior.
