Dash Controls

Post by code reds 69 »

I ran across some much needed trim today. My truck has two knobs on the right side of the steering wheel, the lighter and the choke. The lighter colored trim in the pic, (the one that matches my bezel) has three holes on the right side. What is the third hole for? Thanks for the help.

Wasn't there also a cargo lamp delete cover that you could fit in there?

The cargo lamp delete for the F500 bezels look just like a knockout plug for a home electrical box.

the delete plug is a chrome plug that goes in the hole, I have found them at of all places Lowels home store. They are used to plug the ends of tubing in office furniture, They are in the hardware section and with the drawer and cabinet handles. Could put a emergency flasher switch in there to fill the hole off a newer truck.

Mine has the selector switch for the fuel tank gauge in that third hole, but my truck is kind of an odd-ball as far as that goes. I posted a pic a few months ago (do a search for "chicken head knob"). I don't believe mine ever had the under-dash switch for the fuel gauge.
