Steering column parts for shifter

Post by Whitehorse1 »

I'm having a hard time finding all the little do-dads (please pardon the highly technical terms) that go inside the steering column for the shifter on my automatic. LMC shows then on the part diagram but the aren't listed as "buyable". Where can I get the springs and pins that go inside?

If there is another post somewhere I can look at to get this info, please point me in the right direction.

If you can't get the part this might be a good time to install a tilt column. Sorry I can't be more help to you to find the new parts you need but if you could tell me what you need I have a 70 sport custom with a auto that I could rob the parts from. It is a parts truck for my 67 and I am using a tilt column in it so the 70 one won't be used. I live in Canada but if you pay the shipping on the parts you need I won't charge you anything for the parts.

What would it take to get the whole column?

I rebuilt my 3OTT column with parts from these guys http://www.carolina-classics.com/Result ... mit=Search They had everything I needed. If you don't see it, give 'em a call and they'll let you know if it's available anywhere else. A great bunch of guys to work with, or at least they were when I called 'em about 4 years ago.
