Anyone have tinted windows?

Post by HDxLoki »

I'm thinking about tinting my windows to help reduce the risk of sun damage and I like the privacy. If so lets see them!

You don't see to many trucks in Alberta with tinted windows on the driver and pass as it is against the law. "You can have it done but sooner or later we will catch you and ticket you, and it is a $50 fine" straight from the RCMP when I asked the nice officer. That being said my black truck with blacked out windows will look way too cool and yes I will pay the fines when I get pulled over. Then again this won't be my daily driver.

I don't normally think that tinted windows look good on classic cars, but I will be blacking out the windows on my crew cab when I get it back together. Too hot in SoCal and with all those windows, it will be a giant fishbowl if I don't. I would never think of tinting the windows on my Firebird, but the Crew will be a different story.

Just tinting the rear window makes a big differencecuz the cabs so small ,i havent done it to my truck (yet) but my brother did it to his 76 chivvy and it seemed cooler afterwards both temperature wise and in the looks dept

Check with your local authorities on how much tint you can have on the side windows. You don't want the hassle of tickets and fines.

Tint looks great Joe! Is the rear window 15% as well? My DD HAs 15% on every window aside form the windshield, an every car or truck ive had prior to the Highboy or my Dart has had tint. I almost feel naked without it now haha
Id like to run 15% on the sides an 5% on the rear window once i find a slider to replace my solid window. It just makes the ride so much more injoyable
