Window regulator repair

Post by 70f350 »

I just got done repairing both of mine. The shafts were frozen in all of the regulators I had. I had enough parts to get the job done (after breaking one shaft) otherwise I would have bought one of these.
The one from Australia (1st one) looks very similar to the truck shaft but it looks to be a little shorter. The other looks to be different and the shaft is longer but it may work as well.
Just looking towards the future, unless I convert to power :D

Has anybody ever used these parts to repair a busted regulator?
Anybody know if they make a shaft repair kit for the regulators in our trucks?

Never used the parts above. I did however take a passenger side regulator (they don't tend to wear like the driver sides do) take it a part and repair my driver side. The small bushing the shaft goes through on my driver side had a good amount of wear and play. Hope this helps.
