Hello,
I am converting my 1969 F100 to power steering and I need a shorter steering column to use with the power steering gear.
I need short 3 speed column.
Does anyone have one that they would be willing to sell?
I am in Los Angeles.
Thank you,
Jorge

Re: Steering Column - Manual/PS
You most likely won't find one. They are super rare because most 3-speeds had manual steering. There are very good tutorials on here about how to shorten one. You may try that.

Re: Steering Column - Manual/PS
Me personally do not advise cutting columns since I have had to redo many that people try to do it by reading it some articles , If that is the only way I would take it to a High Qualified Machine Shop to do that but most likely will not since they do not want to be liable for when it comes to people's lives, I have had 3 back in 2019 but sell fast when it comes to 3 speed power steering columns

Re: Steering Column - Manual/PS
Thanks for the replies.
I guess I have to cut mine.
I found the page on how to do it and a friend said he can do it.
He is a welder by trade, hopefully he does a good job.
Are there any other options before I give him my column?
Thanks again.
