Homemade Emasculator

I was looking around this antique store in Midland and saw this thing. It looks like it was made out of rebar. Does anyone have any idea what it might have been used for?

haha. I just did a quick google search. I though this thing was a joke. Apparently "emasculator" is a real instrument used on livestock I think...

Yeah, thick rubber band around the doodads to make bulls steers...

Note, you are supposed to do it when they are young enough to fit through the hole. Buddy had me try to make a super sized set for a 6 month old that didn't want to get 'fixed'. He said one of the tines bent before the goods were all the way through the band and the poor animal about went through the headcage when the band snapped closed...

thus no infection.
I have used a factory one like this many,many times.
Very good results,easy to use by on person .

The one I used came with small green medicated rubber bands.
This will work on other animals also.
