F600 Cluster Harness Swap

Post by f100ranger1969 »

Ok this is an idea, not sure if it would work. I was comparing both my stock and F600 clusters. Stock is a 69 and F600 is at least a 70-72. I had read a few threads on wiring issues. It looks like, other than two gauges reversed on the F600 cluster, the wire colors are the same to each gauge, can you just pull the harness off the stock cluster and put it on the terminals for the correct gauges for the F600 cluster (or even move gauges to the correct position on the F600 cluster and match up the right terminals and everything should jive with the F100 harness under your dash)?

Mine has the issue of the flasher being wired in the F100 cluster, where I guess the F600 had the flasher in the dash wiring somewhere. I figure this would solve that problem.

Any ideas welcome, not too great with wiring so this may be a failed brainstorm.
