1972 - Factory AC - an option for a base Custom F100?

Post by jamesrtw »

I was thinking about air conditioners again today & had a question. In 1972 could you have ordered Factory Air (the integral unit, not the dealer add-on) as an option for a F100 Custom (base model)? Or would that option automatically have forced you to get the Sport custom, or Ranger package trim?

Just curious. Thanks ahead of time for any answers. :D :fr:

It appears it was an option for any trim level according to the factory literature. http://www.fordification.com/library/ma ... temId=4008

The literature isn't very specific so I could be reading it wrong also.

I couldn't find any evidence saying that you couldn't either. So I'm going to assume it's possible. I would have ordered it that way.
