I just picked up a overall good shape but very ugly brown ( no rips) 94' F150 bench seat for $100 from Johnson's Truck and Mustang junk yard so the truck would have some headrests and my head wouldn't smack the back glass in an accident. I saw this sites How To on the seat conversion but I'm kind of lost on it . Do I need to take the 94 seat off of its mounts/runners then take off the 68' seat and bolt the 94' seat to the existing 68' tracks/runners or take out the 68' seat and tracks/runners and then bolt in the 94 f150 seat and tracks/runners in the old seats place? Sorry if I seem a little unclear. Let me know and I'll try and explain a little better.
Thanks for the help

Still no bump there huh ? Went last year and didn't see any. Did see a 66 fairlane out front i wanted though.
I think you just need to use the lower track off the bump seat and swap it out with the 94. I think if you pull the seat ajustment lever it will pull out if i remember right Never tryed but remember fordman said thats the way he did it.
It unbolts or at least my '89 seat did. You use the old mounts and tracks...it's been a long time but I think I had to remove studs in the '89 seat supports because my '69 track had them.

Yeah, they still don't have a bump there. They do have a 65 or 66 F100 stepside out front now that looks pretty tempting. I checked a couple months ago also but no luck. Bumps seem to be kind of rare around here - dentsides are a lot more common. I'm guessing it would be easier to remove the whole seat from the 68 and swap them outside of the truck then replace.

I am getting the seat redone in vynil to look close to how the original seat looks. I don't really like cloth seats too much and I'm trying to keep the truck the most original as possible. The shop said to leave the 94 seat in the bed and they will swap them out for me. If they can't I can always do it though.

When I did both my 70s, I used the original seat tracks. Both my trucks have seats from 94 trucks. I think you just might have to enlarge the mounting holes a little bit.

Why is it that the trucks are always the best running vehicles in the family?
